Last updated: March 2026
Definition of Spam
In the context of IMAST services, "spam" refers to any unsolicited, bulk, or automated electronic communication sent through or facilitated by the IMAST 360 platform without the recipient's explicit or implied consent. This includes promotional messages, marketing emails, SMS notifications, and push notifications sent to individuals who have not opted in to receive them.
Prohibited Activities
Users of IMAST 360 are strictly prohibited from:
- Sending unsolicited bulk emails or messages through IMAST's communication features
- Using purchased, rented, or scraped contact lists for outreach via IMAST services
- Automating message sending in a manner that circumvents rate limits or abuse controls
- Using misleading subject lines, sender information, or headers in communications sent through IMAST
- Scraping or harvesting email addresses or contact information from the IMAST platform
- Sending communications that do not include a functional unsubscribe mechanism where required by law
How IMAST Prevents Spam
We employ multiple layers of technical and administrative controls to detect and prevent spam:
- Rate limiting: Outbound communications are subject to rate limits based on account tier and sending history.
- Automated abuse detection: Machine learning models analyze sending patterns to identify and flag potentially abusive behavior.
- Content filtering: Outbound messages are scanned for known spam patterns, malicious links, and phishing indicators.
- Account suspension: Accounts that trigger abuse thresholds are automatically suspended pending review.
User Responsibilities
All IMAST 360 users are responsible for:
- Obtaining proper consent before sending communications to contacts managed within the platform
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date contact lists, honoring unsubscribe requests promptly
- Complying with all applicable anti-spam laws, including the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, and India's Information Technology Act
- Ensuring that third-party integrations connected to their IMAST account do not violate this policy
Reporting Spam
If you have received spam sent through the IMAST platform or believe an IMAST user is engaging in spamming activity, please report it to: abuse@imast.in
Please include the full message headers, content of the message, and any relevant timestamps to help us investigate.
Consequences of Violation
Violations of this anti-spam policy will result in escalating consequences:
- First offense: Written warning and temporary restriction of communication features.
- Second offense: Suspension of the offending account for a minimum of 30 days.
- Third offense or severe violation: Permanent termination of the account and all associated services, without refund.
IMAST reserves the right to bypass the escalation process and immediately terminate accounts engaged in severe or clearly intentional spamming activity.
