Channel loyalty for seeds, fertilisers and crop protection
An agri input loyalty program rewards the distributors and retailers who sell your seeds, fertilisers and crop protection products, and can extend to farmers through on-pack QR promotions. IMAST 360 runs seasonal schemes, retailer programs and farmer promotions in local languages, with KYC and fast payouts.

The basics
What is an agri input loyalty program?
Agri inputs move through distributors to village and town retailers, and the retailer's advice heavily influences what the farmer buys. Demand is seasonal and regional, tied to crops and weather. An agri input loyalty program rewards distributors and retailers for stocking and recommending your products through the season, and can reach farmers directly with on-pack QR promotions.
Channel schemes typically run around the kharif and rabi seasons, with pre-season stocking targets, in-season sell-out rewards and focus-product pushes. Farmer promotions use a code on the pack that the farmer scans for a reward, which also builds a first-party record of who uses your products.
Rural connectivity and language are central to design: enrolment through field teams, WhatsApp in local languages and offline-first field apps.

Scheme ideas
Schemes that work in agri input
Examples you can launch from the LoyaltyBoard scheme engine without a developer.
| Scheme | How it works | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-season stocking | Bonus for stocking ahead of the season | Secures shelf space before demand |
| In-season sell-out | Points on sell-out during the season | Moves stock to farmers |
| Focus product push | Extra points on a new seed variety or product | Drives adoption |
| Farmer scan-and-win | Instant reward when farmers scan the pack | Builds farmer engagement |
| Retailer tiers | Better rewards for top retailers | Long-term loyalty |
Designing it
How to design an agri input program
Build around the crop calendar. Pre-season stocking schemes secure shelf space; in-season schemes reward sell-out; post-season schemes can clear stock or reward full-season loyalty. Configure schemes by region because crops and timing differ.
Treat the retailer as the centre of the program. Retailers advise farmers, so retailer engagement — enrolment by field reps, WhatsApp updates in their language, meaningful rewards — usually matters more than direct farmer promotions.
If you run farmer promotions, keep them simple: one scan, an instant reward, and KYC where payouts require it.
- Schemes mapped to the crop calendar
- Region-specific rules
- Retailer-first design
- Simple farmer scan-and-win
- Local languages throughout
Measuring it
What to measure — and what to avoid
Measure retailer activation before each season, sell-out during it, and focus-product share by region. For farmer promotions, track scans, repeat scans and the regions they come from.
Review fraud alerts during promotions, when code-collection misuse is most likely, and keep KYC in place for cash payouts.
Avoid one national scheme for a regional business; the scheme engine makes regional variants straightforward.
- Retailer activation pre-season
- Sell-out by region
- Focus-product share
- Farmer scans and repeat scans
- Regional, not national, schemes

FAQs
Agri inputs loyalty program FAQs
What is an agri input loyalty program?
A program that rewards distributors and retailers of seeds, fertilisers and crop protection products for stocking and selling a brand, often with farmer-facing on-pack promotions.
Can schemes follow the crop season?
Yes. The scheme engine supports dated, region-specific schemes for pre-season, in-season and post-season periods.
How do we reach rural retailers?
Field reps in Sales Track enrol retailers during visits, the field app works offline, and updates go out on WhatsApp in local languages.
Can farmers take part?
Yes, through on-pack QR promotions where farmers scan for a reward.
Which languages are supported?
LoyaltyBoard runs in 10+ Indian languages across the app and WhatsApp.
Can schemes use our distributor order data?
Yes. Purchase data from Distribution+ flows into LoyaltyBoard for scheme calculation.
How do you stop fake claims and duplicate scans?
Members complete Digital KYC with PAN and Aadhaar eKYC before redeeming, OCR checks catch edited invoices, and AI flags duplicate claims, unusual redemption speed, shared devices and location anomalies before payout.
How is TDS handled on partner rewards?
Since 1 April 2026, TDS on business benefits falls under Section 393 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (formerly Section 194R): 10% on the full value once a recipient's benefits exceed ₹20,000 in a financial year. Reward Max tracks rewards per recipient, verifies PAN and deducts TDS automatically. Confirm specific cases with your tax adviser.
