Schemes designed on data, not guesswork
Suggestive schemes are the Knoxy capability that proposes channel schemes — and optimises scheme ROI — by partner segment, region and product, using what IMAST 360 already knows about partner activity, orders and past scheme results.
- Schemes suggested by segment, region and product
- Scheme ROI optimisation
- Built on loyalty and order data
The problem
Why most schemes are designed on instinct
Channel schemes are often copied from last year, or from what another region did, because there is no time to work out what would actually move partners. The result is schemes that reward partners for what they would have done anyway, and miss the segments that needed a push.
The information needed to do better is spread across systems: which partners are slowing down, which products are behind plan, which past schemes moved sales and which did not.
Knoxy, the AI Chief of Staff in IMAST 360, brings that together. It suggests schemes for the regions, segments and products that need them, and optimises scheme ROI. The Enterprise plan of LoyaltyBoard also includes a scheme optimiser.
Examples
Schemes Knoxy might suggest
Illustrative examples of signals and the scheme ideas they lead to.
| Knoxy sees | Suggested scheme idea | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Retailer scans falling in two districts | A short scan-and-win scheme for those districts | Re-engage a slowing region |
| A new product behind plan | Focus-SKU bonus points | Drive trial |
| Dealers close to a tier upgrade | Tier-upgrade bonus | Reward the last push |
| Distributors with low focus-SKU share | Target-based focus-SKU scheme | Shift the mix |
How it works
How suggestive schemes work
From signal to running scheme.
- 1Spot
Signal
Knoxy spots slowing segments, regions or products.
- 2Suggest
Scheme proposed
A scheme idea with the segment, rule type and products.
- 3Configure
Set up
Your team reviews it; Knoxy can configure it in LoyaltyBoard.
- 4Optimise
ROI tracked
Results feed scheme ROI optimisation for the next round.
Best practice
Using AI to design schemes responsibly
Keep a human owner for every scheme. Knoxy can propose the idea and set it up, but the channel or loyalty head decides budgets and checks that the scheme fits commercial policy.
Run fewer, sharper schemes. The value of data-led suggestions is targeting: the right partners, the right products, for a set period. Many overlapping schemes make results hard to read for everyone.
Measure against a comparison group where you can. Comparing partners in the scheme with similar partners outside it is the clearest way to know whether a scheme paid back.
- One owner signs off budgets
- Target segments, products and dates
- Avoid overlapping schemes
- Compare with similar partners outside the scheme
From suggestion to launch
How to evaluate a suggested scheme
Treat each suggested scheme as a draft. Check four things before launch: who it targets, what behaviour it rewards, what it will cost at the expected participation, and how you will know it worked.
Check the target segment against what your sales team knows. If Knoxy suggests a scheme for a district where scans have fallen, the field team may know the reason — a distributor issue, a competitor push or a seasonal dip — and that should shape the response.
Set a budget cap and an end date. Schemes without limits are hard to stop, and partners lose trust in programs that change rules mid-way.
After the scheme ends, compare results with the goal you set. That history makes the next round of suggestions easier to judge, and Enterprise customers can use the scheme optimiser to refine scheme ROI.
- Check target, behaviour, cost and success measure
- Validate the segment with the field team
- Set a budget cap and end date
- Compare results with the goal
FAQs
Suggestive scheme FAQs
What are suggestive schemes?
Channel scheme ideas proposed by Knoxy for the partner segments, regions and products that need them, based on activity, orders and past scheme results.
What does scheme ROI optimisation mean?
Adjusting schemes so the incentive spend produces the most additional sales or the right behaviour for the money.
Where do schemes run?
In the LoyaltyBoard scheme engine. Knoxy can configure suggested schemes there.
Is this the same as the LoyaltyBoard scheme optimiser?
LoyaltyBoard's Enterprise plan includes a scheme optimiser. Knoxy suggests schemes across IMAST 360, using loyalty and order data together.
Who approves a suggested scheme?
Your channel or loyalty team decides whether to run it and with what budget.
What data does Knoxy use?
Partner activity and scheme results from LoyaltyBoard and order data from Distribution+.
Can Knoxy remind partners about schemes?
Yes. Knoxy sends reminders, for example to partners close to a scheme target.
Do suggested schemes launch automatically?
Treat them as drafts: your team reviews the target, cost and dates before a scheme goes live in LoyaltyBoard's scheme engine.
