Loyalty programs for electrical brands, dealers and electricians

An electricals loyalty program rewards the electricians who choose and install your wires, cables, switches, fans and lighting, and the dealers and retailers who stock them. IMAST 360 runs electrician QR scan-to-earn, dealer schemes and rewards on one platform, connected to your orders and field team.

  • Electrician QR scan-to-earn on every pack
  • Dealer and retailer schemes on purchases
  • WhatsApp and 10+ Indian languages

The basics

What is an electrical industry loyalty program?

In electricals the electrician is often the real decision-maker. Homeowners and small builders rarely specify a wire or switch brand; they ask the electrician to buy what's needed. Retailers and dealers then decide what they keep on the shelf and recommend at the counter. An electricals loyalty program rewards electricians for choosing your products and dealers and retailers for stocking and selling them.

Electrician programs usually work through a QR code on each pack or coil: the electrician scans when they buy or install, earns points instantly and moves up tiers. Dealer and retailer programs use slab, SKU and target schemes on purchases.

Electricals brands often sell several categories — wires, switches, fans, lighting — so programs need rules by product line, with focus-category schemes to cross-sell.

The challenge

Where electricals channel programs leak

The problems we hear most often — and what changes on IMAST 360.

01

Electricians won't install another app

They can enrol and get point alerts on WhatsApp, or be enrolled by your field rep.

02

Fake scans drain the budget

Unique codes, KYC before redemption and AI checks on duplicate scans and anomalies.

03

One scheme for every category

Rules, tiers and catalogues by product line and region from the scheme engine.

04

Little visibility at the counter

Retailer schemes and field-rep visits in Sales Track show what's happening at the counter.

Designing it

How to design an electricals loyalty program

Map the categories first. Decide how points work across wires, switches, fans and lighting — equal points per rupee, or richer points on focus categories — and use cross-category bonuses to turn a wire customer into a switch customer.

Make scanning fast and enrolment easy. Electricians are busy, often working several jobs a day; a scan that takes seconds and alerts on WhatsApp keep them engaged without changing their routine.

Pair the electrician program with retailer schemes so the products electricians want are on the shelf. Field reps in Sales Track can enrol both groups on the same visit.

  • Points rules by product line
  • Cross-category bonuses
  • Seconds-long scans, WhatsApp alerts
  • Retailer schemes so stock matches demand
  • Enrol electricians and retailers on the same visit

Measuring it

What to measure — and what to avoid

Measure active electricians and the number of categories each one scans. Growth in multi-category electricians is a strong sign the program is building loyalty rather than buying one-off scans.

For retailers, track scheme participation and focus-category purchases. Review fraud alerts regularly, particularly on new ranges with double-points schemes.

Avoid rewards that are too small to notice or too slow to arrive. Points should credit on scan, and the catalogue should include cash rewards through UPI and bank transfer.

  • Active electricians
  • Categories scanned per electrician
  • Focus-category purchases by retailers
  • Fraud alerts on double-points schemes
  • Fast, meaningful rewards

FAQs

Electricals loyalty program FAQs

What is an electrical industry loyalty program?

A program that rewards electricians for choosing a brand's wires, switches, fans or lighting and dealers and retailers for stocking and selling them, usually through QR scan-to-earn and purchase-based schemes.

How do electricians earn points?

By scanning the QR code on each pack or coil, uploading invoices that AI-powered OCR verifies, or completing tasks such as referrals.

Can we run different rules for each product category?

Yes. Earning rules, tiers and catalogues can differ by product line, region and member type.

Do electricians need an app?

No. They can enrol and get alerts on WhatsApp, or be enrolled by a field rep. A branded app is available too.

Can retailers be in the same program?

Yes. Retailers, dealers and electricians can each have their own rules on one platform.

Which languages are supported?

LoyaltyBoard runs in 10+ Indian languages across the app and WhatsApp.

How do you stop fake claims and duplicate scans?

Members complete Digital KYC with PAN and Aadhaar eKYC before redeeming, OCR checks catch edited invoices, and AI flags duplicate claims, unusual redemption speed, shared devices and location anomalies before payout.

How is TDS handled on partner rewards?

Since 1 April 2026, TDS on business benefits falls under Section 393 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (formerly Section 194R): 10% on the full value once a recipient's benefits exceed ₹20,000 in a financial year. Reward Max tracks rewards per recipient, verifies PAN and deducts TDS automatically. Confirm specific cases with your tax adviser.
