Explained
What is a channel incentive program, and why do payouts matter so much?
A channel incentive program rewards the dealers, distributors and retailers who sell your products for hitting targets or doing things you value — buying a focus SKU, growing volume, paying on time or improving displays. The scheme design gets most of the attention, but partners judge a program by something simpler: whether they get paid correctly and on time.
Late or disputed payouts quietly undo a good scheme. If a dealer waits a full quarter to see an incentive, or receives less than expected with no explanation, the next scheme is met with less enthusiasm. Fast, transparent settlement keeps partners believing that effort turns into reward.
Reward Max is the payout side of IMAST 360. It takes what partners have earned — from LoyaltyBoard schemes, your own systems or a campaign — and delivers it as points, unique codes, trackable links via email, SMS or WhatsApp, API triggers, or cash to verified UPI IDs and bank accounts.
Every payout carries the same controls: Digital KYC, AI checks for suspicious redemptions, duplicate claims and velocity abuse, and TDS under Section 194R where it applies.
The challenge
Where channel incentive payouts break
Partners lose trust when payouts are late or wrong.
01
Late settlements
Incentives wait for quarter-end reconciliation.
02
Manual payouts
Finance pays partners one by one.
03
Compliance gaps
TDS on rewards isn't tracked per partner.
04
Leakage
Duplicate or inflated claims get paid.

Best practice
Getting channel incentive payouts right
Settle as close to the behaviour as you can. Partners respond to rewards they can connect to what they did. When scheme earnings flow from LoyaltyBoard straight into Reward Max, payouts do not have to wait for a quarter-end reconciliation.
Give partners a choice of reward. Some want cash, some want gift cards or merchandise. Letting them pick from the 10,000+ catalogue raises the perceived value of the same budget.
Keep finance in the loop with data rather than spreadsheets. Reward Max dashboards cover redemption, scheme ROI and fraud metrics, and compliance reporting is built in.
- Connect scheme earnings directly to payouts
- Offer cash and non-cash rewards
- Verify partners before their first payout
- Track TDS per partner across all schemes
Getting it right
Setting payout rules partners trust
Partners judge an incentive program by how reliably it pays. Publish the rules in plain language, show progress as it happens and say clearly when and how payouts will arrive.
Match the payout mode to the partner: cash to UPI or bank for many distributors and retailers, gift cards or merchandise where a tangible reward motivates more. Reward Max supports all of these from one account.
Keep compliance in the background. Digital KYC, bank validation and TDS tracking under Section 393 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (formerly 194R) run on every payout, so partners get paid without finance chasing documents.
- Plain-language rules
- Visible progress
- Clear payout dates
- Compliance handled automatically
