Sales Track · GPS tracking
Salesman tracking app with GPS-verified visits
A salesman tracking app records where field reps are and which outlets they visit. Sales Track does this with geo-fenced GPS check-in and check-out at every outlet, and shows field movement, coverage and beat adherence on live dashboards — so managers see real visits, not reported ones.
- Geo-fenced check-in and check-out at every outlet
- Live field movement and coverage
- Works offline, syncs later
The basics
What does a sales tracking app do?
Field sales happens out of sight. Without tracking, a manager knows what was ordered but not which outlets were visited, how long each call took or which part of the territory never saw a rep.
A sales tracking app fixes that by tying each visit to a place and a time. In Sales Track, a rep checks in when they arrive at an outlet and checks out when they leave, and the check-in only counts inside the outlet's geo-fence.
The point is not to watch reps all day. It is to know that the beat was covered, to coach from facts, and to see which outlets are being missed before sales drop.
The challenge
What goes wrong without visit tracking
And what changes in Sales Track.
01
Visits are self-reported
A geo-fenced check-in records the visit only when the rep is at the outlet.
02
Managers find gaps too late
Real-time dashboards show field movement, coverage and beat adherence during the day.
03
No proof of what happened at the outlet
Reps capture photos and log activities at each visit; retail audits are available from the Growth plan.
04
Poor network loses the record
The app is offline-first, so visits are recorded without connectivity and sync later.
In Sales Track

Rolling it out
How to introduce GPS tracking to a field team
Explain the purpose before the launch. Reps accept tracking when it is tied to visits and coverage — the work they are paid for — rather than to every minute of the day.
Use the data for coaching first. Show each rep their own coverage and beat adherence, and recognise the reps who cover their beats fully. Gamification and leaderboards in Sales Track (from the Growth plan) help here.
Then use it to fix the plan. If an outlet is always skipped, the beat may be too long or the outlet in the wrong beat; the tracking data tells you which.
- Tie tracking to visits, not minutes
- Coach from each rep's own coverage
- Recognise full beat coverage
- Fix beats that are always skipped

FAQs
Sales tracking app FAQs
How does the salesman tracking app verify a visit?
The rep checks in and out at the outlet, and the check-in is geo-fenced, so it only registers when the rep is at the outlet's location.
Can managers see field movement live?
Yes. Real-time dashboards show field movement, order value, coverage and beat adherence as it happens.
Can reps add proof of the visit?
Yes. Reps can take photos and log activities at each visit. Photo-based retail audits and planogram checks are available from the Growth plan.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Sales Track is offline-first: reps can check in, place orders, capture photos and log activities without connectivity, and everything syncs when the network returns.
Does it connect to our DMS or ERP?
Yes. Sales Track connects natively with Distribution+ (the IMAST DMS) and to SAP, Tally and other ERPs through REST APIs.
Is employee location data secure?
IMAST is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified. See the security page for details.
