FMCG distribution software for distributors, field teams and retailers
FMCG distribution software connects the three places FMCG sales are won: the distributor, the field team's beat and the retail counter. IMAST 360 runs all three on one platform — Distribution+ for distributor management, Sales Track for beat planning and order booking, and LoyaltyBoard for retailer schemes — so secondary sales, visits and schemes share the same data.
- Distributor management with GST e-Invoice and e-Way Bill
- GPS beats, one-tap order booking and van sales
- Retailer schemes on QR scans, invoices and WhatsApp

The basics
What is FMCG distribution software?
FMCG brands sell through a long chain. The brand sells to distributors (primary sales), distributors sell to lakhs of retailers (secondary sales), and retailers sell to shoppers. Most of what the brand can influence happens in the middle: which outlets are covered, what each retailer orders, and whether schemes reach the counter.
FMCG distribution software digitises that middle. A distributor management system (DMS) records distributor stock, orders and invoices. Sales force automation (SFA) plans beats, captures orders and audits shelves. A retailer loyalty program rewards the outlets that buy and display your range.
When the three run on separate tools, secondary sales arrive late and schemes are settled on estimates. On IMAST 360 they share one data model, so a scheme can pay on the orders reps actually booked and the stock distributors actually billed.
The challenge
Where FMCG distribution leaks
The problems we hear most often — and what changes on IMAST 360.
01
Secondary sales arrive weeks late
Distributor billing in Distribution+ gives you secondary sales by distributor, SKU and outlet as invoices are raised, not at month end.
02
Beats are planned on paper
Sales Track plans beats with GPS coverage and geo-fenced check-ins, so you see which outlets were visited and which were missed.
03
Schemes never reach the retailer
Schemes are configured centrally and applied automatically across the network, so retailers see the benefit the distributor was paid for.
04
Shelf execution is invisible
Photo-based retail audits and planogram checks in Sales Track show what is on the shelf at each visit.

How it works
How secondary sales flow on IMAST 360
From the rep's beat to the retailer's reward.
- 1Plan
Beats planned
Sales Track assigns outlets to beats, and reps check in by GPS at each outlet.
- 2Order
Orders booked
Reps book orders from SKU lists with scheme pricing applied. Growth plans add van sales for ready stock.
- 3Bill
Distributor bills
Distribution+ checks credit and stock, raises the GST invoice, e-Invoice and e-Way Bill, and tracks delivery.
- 4Reward
Retailer earns
Purchases and display tasks earn points in LoyaltyBoard, and Reward Max pays out to UPI, bank or vouchers.
Scheme ideas
Schemes that work in FMCG
Examples you can run on IMAST 360 without a developer.
| Scheme | How it works | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Focus SKU push | Extra points on a new launch or focus pack | Builds distribution for new SKUs |
| Must-sell basket | Bonus when a retailer orders a defined set of SKUs | Widens the range on the shelf |
| Display reward | Points for a display verified by photo audit | Wins visibility at the counter |
| Monthly slab | Higher reward rate as order value crosses each slab | Lifts average order value |
| Distributor coverage target | Reward for active outlets billed above a target | Extends reach into more outlets |
Setting it up
How to set up FMCG distribution software
Start with distributor billing, because every later number depends on it. Once Distribution+ holds distributor stock and invoices, secondary sales by outlet and SKU come from billing rather than from reports sent at month end.
Then put the field team on Sales Track: assign beats, turn on geo-fenced check-ins and let reps book orders with scheme pricing applied. Retail audits can follow once visits are routine.
Add retailer loyalty last, and pay on data you already trust — orders billed and displays verified by photo. Retailers can join through the field rep or on WhatsApp, so a smartphone app is optional.
- Distributor billing first
- Beats and check-ins next
- Order booking with scheme pricing
- Retailer schemes paid on billed data
- WhatsApp enrolment for retailers
Measuring it
What to measure
Track productive outlets — outlets that ordered in the period — rather than outlets visited. Compare lines per order and average order value for retailers in a scheme against those outside it.
For schemes, compare participation and purchase value before and during each scheme, and watch the cost per extra rupee of sales. Review distributor stock and claims every month so schemes are paid on what was billed.
- Productive outlets, not visits
- Lines per order and average order value
- Scheme participation and cost per extra ₹ of sales
- Monthly distributor stock and claim review

FAQs
FMCG distribution software FAQs
What is FMCG distribution software?
Software that manages how FMCG products move from brand to distributor to retailer: distributor management (DMS) for stock, orders and invoicing, sales force automation (SFA) for beats and order booking, and retailer engagement such as schemes and loyalty.
What is the difference between primary and secondary sales?
Primary sales are the brand's sales to distributors. Secondary sales are distributors' sales to retailers. Distribution+ records secondary sales from distributor billing, so you see them by outlet and SKU.
Does Distribution+ handle GST e-Invoice and e-Way Bill?
Yes. It generates GST-compliant invoices, credit notes, e-Invoice and e-Way Bill, with tax configuration and payment recording.
Does IMAST support van sales?
Yes. The Van Sales module in Sales Track, available from the Growth plan, supports ready-stock delivery routes.
Can retailers join without an app?
Yes. Retailers can enrol through a field rep or on WhatsApp. A branded app in 10+ Indian languages is available for those who want it.
Does it connect to our ERP?
Yes. Distribution+ connects to SAP, Tally and Oracle, payment gateways and logistics partners through REST APIs.
How is TDS handled on partner rewards?
Since 1 April 2026, TDS on business benefits falls under Section 393 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (formerly Section 194R): 10% on the full value once a recipient's benefits exceed ₹20,000 in a financial year. Reward Max tracks rewards per recipient, verifies PAN and deducts TDS automatically. Confirm specific cases with your tax adviser.
